WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

At Nike, our supply chain athletes* are our competitive advantage, continuously elevating the Nike experience for our consumers. Within Nike EMEA Operations and Logistics, as we implement our Digital First Supply Chain at Scale strategy, we seek top talent to join the program team for Nike’s first UK omnichannel Distribution Centre (DC) planned to launch in 2026.

As part of that team, we are currently looking for an experienced HR Director, who will drive the UK Distribution Centre employee strategy, setup, and transition agenda, acting as a strong ambassador for our unique Nike culture.

The role will be based in the UK, however during the first 12 – 18 months regular presence at our European Logistics Campus (ELC) in Belgium will be required. Longer term, the role will require 3 days a week presence on-site in the Midlands.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As our HR Director dedicated to Nike’s first UK omnichannel Distribution Centre, you’ll partner with the business on key strategic areas such as, organizational design and set up, talent attraction, UK and social relations and organizational health and culture, all whilst leaning on our existing expert HR teams based in the UK and ELC for support and guidance. From design to day-to-day operations and beyond, you’ll support the UK implementation team on all HR related queries, coordinating a multidisciplinary HR cell to tap into HR expertise needed. Through partnering with the business, you’ll lead a successful employee implementation to the UK DC, providing tools, advice, and information to support effective execution.

Utilizing strategic thinking, you’ll develop start up workforce and talent plans, aligned with business strategies and objectives, whilst guiding business leaders in building internal talent potential.

As a natural coach, you’ll support management teams on complex leadership and HR issues, including but not limited to, talent objectives, performance goals and HR/talent implication of business decisions. You’ll build organizational alignment and capability through the development and/or the facilitation of appropriate senior leader focused interventions, e.g., team effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement and manager capability.

In your onboarding journey, supporting a deep knowledge of our organizational DC setup and culture, you will work with the ELC leadership to evaluate our current org DC setup.

As we embark on our ambitious journey to bring the new UK Distribution Centre to life, you’ll work on all different HR aspects relating to the stage of the program.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You’ll work together with other HR Leads and different HR subdivisions of our UK Retail, Belgian ELC and EMEA EHQ (European Head Quarters) Netherlands HR teams. The HR Director at our ELC in Belgium and the Senior Program Director of the UK DC project team will lead, coach, drive and inspire you.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience of successfully leading a new organization setup or restructure
  • Knowledge of UK Legislation
