The Government Property Agency is an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office. It is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save £1.4 Bn over 10 years.
Beyond the bricks and mortar, the GPA is about providing great workplaces for our people. GPA is looking for an experienced HR manager to lead on translating HR requirements for enhancements to our online Employee Service Centre portal.
This is an ambitious and exciting task, for which we need innovative people, with strong commercial acumen, who are passionate about visualising and implementing customer needs.
As a HR Delivery Manager your main responsibilities would be to:
- Work with our development partner to translate HR requirements into workflows and enhancements to our existing HR Employee Service Centre
- Lead on resolution of existing issues with the system
- Act as the principal point of contact with the developer, ensuring that GPA requirements are fully developed, tested and implemented in the system
- Undertake stakeholder engagement and focus groups to scope future enhancement requirement
- Feed into contract management discussions with the supplier
- Develop user guides, training materials and intranet content to ‘sell’ the benefits of the system
- Provide a series of in-house training sessions for managers and staff
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- Understanding of HR processes and practices
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Highly organised
- Solid IT skills
- Must be able to write credible, concise user guidance/training material
Desirable skills / experience criteria:
Experience of introducing IT based HR system into an organisation
- Experience in delivering HR projects
