An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and motivated HR Coordinators to join the Clinical School HR Team. These two roles are a unique opportunity to work alongside the Clinical School HR Team whilst having a strong HR presence in a department.

The Clinical School HR Team is a specialist HR team that provides a range of HR, recruitment and clinical services to staff and visitors of all the departments, institutes and units within the School of Clinical Medicine (SCM), as well as some departments and institutions within the School of the Biological Sciences. The team are based in the Clinical School Office which is part of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and it's an exciting time to join with key projects moving forward including a new Children's Hospital, Cancer Research Hospital as well as other Global Health initiatives.

One HR Coordinator will support the Department of Oncology; https://www.oncology.cam.ac.uk/ (including the Cambridge Cancer Centre and Early Cancer Institute; https://www.earlycancer.cam.ac.uk/) and the other will support the Department of Clinical Biochemistry/Wellcome-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science; https://www.mrl.ims.cam.ac.uk/ to deliver an efficient and high quality HR transactional and advisory service with the goal of ensuring the smooth running of departmental HR processes and procedures.

Working closely with the Clinical School HR Team and key contacts in your assigned department, you will be working in a varied role where you will be providing a professional service to deliver the best experience to all members of the department. This will include training, advisory and administrative support to staff and managers in addition to undertaking specific HR, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Wellbeing projects. You will also responsible for providing first line advice to managers and staff on a range of HR topics such as staff welfare, performance, disciplinary/grievance, terms and conditions of employment (e.g. holiday entitlement, sick leave, maternity/ paternity leave scales), workforce planning and reward.

The post holder will be a first line of contact for a range of HR related activities. They will need to manage and prioritise their workload to work in an independent manner, performing these duties to the highest level of accuracy and professionalism.

You will have a background in HR and will be used to dealing with a variety of different queries. You will enjoy communicating with individuals and be the type of person who strives for a high level of quality in everything that you do. You will feel comfortable being able to plan your own workload, delegate where relevant and be happy to be a team player and contribute to the success of the team.

The roles are available on a full time basis (a job share would be considered) with the option of hybrid working.
