We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced HR Coordinator to join the Cambridge Research Office. The University is one of the world's leading research-intensive academic institutions. The Cambridge Research Office (CRO) is responsible for supporting all the research which is carried out across the University and is a team of approximately 170 staff.
About the Role:
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will lead the HR service for the Research Office and will be the first point of contact for individuals and managers on HR policy and employment questions and issues. As Line Manager of the HR Administrator, you will ensure that all aspects of the HR function in the department are undertaken in a professional, timely and accurate manner in accordance with the relevant legislation. You will review new HR advice and guidance, assess the impact on procedures and recommend and implement changes as required and coordinate all recruitment processes and contractual matters.
Your Skills and Experience:
You will be well-organised, proactive, and responsive, with the ability to communicate at all levels and to work well within and across teams. With an excellent level of attention to detail, you will be able to prioritise effectively and work quickly and accurately. You will be flexible and adaptable and able to apply tact and discretion when managing sensitive and highly confidential information. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while managing workloads to meet multiple deadlines. You will be educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification with CPID Level 5 or have an equivalent level of practical experience.

Location
We are supportive of hybrid working and we are currently trialling in-person working within teams 2 days per week from Greenwich House. This arrangement is currently temporary. Some roles may require additional onsite working according to business need and this is subject to discussion with the recruiting manager.
