HR Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our UK HR team, supporting our colleagues based in London. You will have the chance to contribute across a range of HR focus areas and deepen your experience, working closely within a supportive team of local HR colleagues. You will also be part of our Global HR group, with the chance to get to know your HR colleagues in a range of different countries where Simon-Kucher operates.
- Continue to develop your knowledge of the role of HR within the organisation, and the different areas of delivery within the HR function – operating at all times in line with Simon-Kucher’s vision and values, and the UK HR team’s local approach
- Answer questions from UK staff, across areas of competence
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all UK joiners (employees, interns, transferors, and rotators from other offices)
- Coordinate the absence booking process as required
- Update staffing plans in relation to starters and leavers, leave periods and training bookings as required
- Get involved with training coordination and arranging local training, including using reports to identify staff who could be encouraged to engage further with Simon-Kucher’s global learning offerings
- Coordinate the performance assessment process for our interns to inform whether offers should be extended, and ensure that our internship information provision remains up to date in order to support them to succeed in their roles
- Perform data analysis and track regular data sets e.g. holiday booked, sickness absence levels, attrition, intern surveys etc
- Coordinate our local benefits provision, answering questions from staff and maintaining data associated with various benefit schemes as required
- Research HR topics as directed e.g. in connection with policy updates or potential changes to our local processes
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing, alongside accurate database records
- Apply data protection policies and processes to ensure that the right data is retained and removed in a timely fashion
- Get involved with supporting employee engagement projects e.g. office celebrations
- Work closely with colleagues in the London HR team, and also play an active part of the Simon-Kucher Global HR team
- Support the recruitment process when colleagues need additional capacity
- 1+ years’ previous experience of office-based work, ideally with some exposure within an HR team
- A strong commitment to developing a career in HR
- GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 6/grade B or above, or equivalent
- An interest in the professional services industry
- Ability to keep accurate records, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work successfully independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills – written, via online meetings, on the phone, and in person
- IT skills, including with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, using basic formulae, using tables etc)
- Appreciation of the significance of confidentiality when working in HR
