Job description
The Human Resources (HR) Consultant is responsible for providing HR advice and support to the people management and HR operations in the organisation. This role will also contribute to policy development, workforce planning and various human resource projects as they arise.
The HR Consultant must have the right communication skills to take on administrative tasks in the HR Department. We require the HR Consultant to have valuable information about the various aspects of the human resources department, with a clear sense of direction.
It is also important for the HR Consultant to keep abreast of any possible changes in employment laws of the UK.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide operations advice to managers and staff in relation to employment contracts, terms of employment and the interpretation of agreements, awards, and policies.
- Develop strategies and implement changes that improve job knowledge.
- Collaborate with the directors to systematically manage the business’s HR policy
- Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of human resource policies, practices and procedures.
- Manage human resource cases including disciplinary matters, health and safety, and performance appraisals.
- Assist in the development and interpretation of human resource data, to assist business units with workforce planning and operational matters.
- Assist business units with recruitment and selection processes, including creating and updating job descriptions, and providing accurate and timely advice on throughout the phases of recruitment and selection.
- Actively participate in operational HR planning, including assisting in consultation processes with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications/Knowledge
Previous experience within a Human Resources team, and/or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
