The Role
Oxfam are looking for an experienced HR professional to join us to work on a range of key projects, with an initial focus on recruitment and resourcing.
Working jointly across both the HR Operations and HR Business Partnerships & Development areas of Oxfam, you will work to enable our joint approach to end-to-end solutions in support of our HR and wider organisational strategies.
Experience of project-based working, a customer focused mindset and practical examples of using a partnering approach are really important to us. We want someone who thinks strategically and can offer solutions using an evidence-based approach, in line with the organisation’s values and principles, which are at the core of everything we do.
The role might suit an individual with experience of having worked as a consultant, or on a fixed term basis to support specific outcomes. Ultimately, you need to be a problem solver that thrives on bringing together the opinions and expectations of a broad portfolio of stakeholders, to support and develop realistic and sustainable long-term change.
Please note this is a 12 months fixed term contract role.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to the values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do and our feminist principles.
An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
- Significant generalist and/or Strategic Talent, HR Business Partnership experience gained within a large organisation and with multiple stakeholders
- HR expertise across a broad spectrum of Recruitment, Talent Management, Reward, HR transactional operations activity, compliance, training and development, with an understanding of employment law principles
- Significant project management experience
- Up to date knowledge of current HR thinking and trends
- Experienced in contributing to medium term strategic and operational business planning, with a track record of delivery
- Analytical skills, including using data to inform decision making, and being able to weigh up and take decisions when there are unknowns
- Be a role model for wellbeing and resilience
- Outcome focused and value-added mindset
- Experience of identifying the cause of problems using an evidence-based approach, acting as a stakeholder partner to influence positive outcomes.
