Contract type: Full-time and fixed term (6-12 months)
The role:
Will be responsible for providing effective HR partnership, support and advice to the Global Corporate functions (Finance, Fondation Chanel, Pioneer and Sustainability) based in the London Global Headquarters office. This role will partner with all stakeholders in the client groups and will embed and promote HR best practice to deliver on the strategic agenda.
The HR Business Partner (HR BP) will work closely with the Head of HR - Global Corporate Functions (UK) to develop and implement the HR strategy in London and Luxembourg HQ. This will include work on development (for all), promoting policy, manging employee relations matters and partnering with client groups to acquire, identify, manage and retain talent.
Key objectives for the HR BP include having a strong focus on business partnership, operational excellence, thoughtful problem-solving skills, project management and research into best practices.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • HR Business Partnership
  • Support both managers and individual contributors in their everyday life as a manager/employee and development (training, mobility, managerial practices, professional project support, etc.)
  • Support managers on business process, talent management and development, hiring, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, change management, team design, etc.
  • Regular and purposeful communication with your clients, ensure your understanding of what is required and self-confidence to question ‘why’, when something is not clear.
  • Aid management of the annual budget process and monitor staff costs.
  • Talent acquisition
    • Play a key operational role (working on team design with manager, understanding needs, activating process, meeting candidates and advising at all stages) in the recruitment process of any clients in area.
    • Ensure a thorough understanding of the role and requirements to make sound judgement on best ‘add’ to the team, never compromising on excellence and always focusing on inclusivity.
    • Embody the values of Chanel and promote these during interview process, as a window into Chanel for external candidates and a champion of best practise for internal employees.
    • Close partnership with recruitment agencies; building trusting relationships, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our needs and values and can be a sound ‘intro to Chanel.’
What you will bring:
  • Ability to build strong and functioning relationships with any level in the organisation.
  • HR generalist, HR Project Management or Employee Relation experience.
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive employee matters with autonomy, discretion, and respect.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Operational organisation skills with ability to think and make decisions strategically.
  • Ability to focus locally day to day, whilst preserving a global mindset, always.
  • Ability to connect, unite and mobilise people to achieve a common goal.
  • Integrity and professional maturity.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
