Job description
To support the council’s transformation programme, we are seeking to appoint a HR Business Partner to join our Business Partnering team. With a specific focus on employee relations, this role will work proactively with colleagues within Human Resources and Organisational Development and across the wider organisation to provide specialist advice and enable proactive, fair and consistent approaches.
If you have a detailed knowledge and understanding of employment law with proven ability to apply this to your professional practice, this is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in a large and diverse organisation. With the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, you will manage your own caseload both supporting and coaching colleagues through investigations and undertaking formal investigations and presenting at hearings and appeals.
A high-level problem-solver who practises with empathy and diplomacy, you will have the ability to develop strong working relationships and give carefully considered, legally compliant and proportionate advice. Coaching and mediation skills will be essential in this role along with experience of producing reports and letter on complex issues.
