About the Team
The Corporate Services department (CS) is at the heart of the Bytedance employee experience. We are the passionate, innovative, and customer-centric team that is building the Employee Experience at Bytedance. You can think of us as the Global Workplace team - we're responsible for everything from office design, employee health and security, in-office snacks and catering, Swag!, integrated facilities and admin support, all the way through to product design and development of workplace software platforms. We are the team that is thinking about the Future of Work - what does it feel like to work in a Bytedance office? How do we enable RTO (Return to Office)? How can we innovate on the employee experience, and how can we infuse Creativity & Joy into our workplaces around the globe.
Join our CS HR team as an HRBP working with our Admin, Procurement, Real Estate & Facilities, Physical Security, Employee Health & Safety, and NewPort teams. You will join a fast-growing department and help shape our global employee experience. As a CS HRBP you will be responsible for championing the workplace team, and partnering with leaders on organization design, talent mapping, workforce planning, and performance management. This is a truely GLOBAL role - our clients are located in every Bytedance office, and you will be working with a global team of HRBPs. Traveling to visit clients and collaborating with the HRBP team is an expectation and a highlight of this role! We expect that you visit a new office at least once a quarter - but we offer you the flexibility to choose the travel schedule and location that fits your personal schedule.
Specifically, you will:
1. Collaborate across the HRBP team to translate business agendas and objectives into a strategic HR roadmap, with supporting initiatives and action plans.
2. Coach business leaders on people-related matters including talent assessment, development and succession, organization effectiveness, and retention & high-performing team design.
3. Design, monitor, and measure HR metric/KPIs dashboards to facilitate change and drive key insights and decisions that support growth and retention.
4. Play a hands-on role in the design and execution of business restructures, critical workforce planning initiatives and identify critical succession planning needs.
5. Partner with business leaders and our HR COE teams to design employee training and development programs that include onboarding, OKR setting, skills-based career development, and leadership development.
6. Oversee the formal performance review, promotion review, and calibration processes.
7. Help to create new recognition and rewards programs for the CS teams to boost team morale and celebrate top performers.
8. Champion HR initiatives to support Diversity & Inclusion.
9. Be the ambassador of Bytedance organizational culture. Live our ByteStyles and champion HR initiatives to support Diversity & Inclusion, and our Always Day One attitude.
10. Guide HR managers regarding mentorship, development, retention, and promotion of diverse employees.
11. Facilitate communication, collaboration and engagement across all areas of the business (geographically and cross-functionally).
12. Be the ambassador of Bytedance organizational culture. Plan and implement organizational culture activities.
Parts of this role will require supporting across ByteDance, as well as TikTok. ByteDance is TikTok's parent company, whose mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
Qualifications
1. BA/BS degree or above is required.
2. 5-8 years of HR Business Partner experience in hi-tech or a related industry is preferred.
2. A proven track record working with multi-cultural teams and able to navigate a matrix organization.
3. Demonstrated performance management, employee relations and project management experience, and ability to drive programs.
4. Interpersonal communication skills and experience building relationships at all levels of the organization.
5. Ability to multi-task and work through complexities in an ever-changing and high-growth business environment.
6. Proactive and highly motivated for original thinking as well as continuous improvement.
7. Optimistic, energetic, and solution-oriented approach.
