What will you be doing:
As a HRBP, this role is within a fast-paced environment and will support the business across a wide range of disciplines and activities. The HR Business Partner will be empowered to work with their business unit and to have an active part to make a difference to our success.
Essential responsibilities:
- Proactively collaborate and support Senior Managers in driving strategic HR discussions. Contributing to the development of their business area by ensuring that the local HR strategics are directly aligned to the overall business strategy.
- Provide expertise advice, support and coach Business Leaders and Managers on HR matters, including policies, procedures, best practice, employment legislation, employment relation issues, organisation design, Learning and Development, Total Reward as well as employee wellness initiatives.
- Introduce and where appropriate adapt HR policies and initiatives based upon best practice to ensure local effectiveness and legal compliance for all the assigned areas.
- Work collaboratively with the L&D Business Partner to support and implement development and training solutions to retain and develop our internal talent.
- Work collaboratively with internal Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure talent resourcing plans are met and interviewing managers are equipped with the necessary skills.
- Being an active People Promise ambassador while supporting and maintaining our culture and engagement of our employees.
- With assistance of the HR Data Specialists, produce compliant correspondence, on behalf of managers, relating to all areas of Human resources (e.g. flexible working requests, grievance and disciplinary responses)
- Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with their business unit and wider HR Team to develop solutions and policy to support the business
- Help drive employee engagement by assessing performance within their allocated areas against the requirements of the business and facilitating action items to improve engagement levels.
- Act as a trusted CooperVision employee by adhering to our company values, as well as driving our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and Employee Engagement.
What are we looking for?
- Previous competent Advisor level HR experience (or equivalent)
- Relevant HR experience including coaching and developing managers in a range of people management activities
- Proven experience of participating or leading HR projects / Change projects
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent coaching, influencing and relationship management skills within a management population.
- Handling high volume and complex strategic projects
- HR information systems experience (Oracle HCM would be advantageous)
- Extensive and up to date knowledge of UK employment law
In addition, you’ll have experience in:
- MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook
- People focused and able to build and develop relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze complex issues and recommend and implement practical solutions.
- Strong influencing skills and not afraid to challenge
Education:
- CIPD professional qualification at level 7 as a minimum, is desirable
- A high level of general education including demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills. Ideally a Master’s degree in a Business Management or related subject (Human Resource Management, Psychology, etc.).
