Due to OpenText's continued global growth, including a large-scale acquisition, we have a new position for an experienced Human Resource Generalist to support our leaders, managers, and employees. This individual will be part of the European HR Business Partner community, predominantly focused on commercial sales teams across UK and Ireland.
The HRBP will work collaboratively with the wider UK & Ireland HR team as well as the global HR Centres of Expertise including Total Reward, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and HR Shared Services/ HR Operations to ensure regionally aligned delivery of key HR initiatives which support the framework of the global HR strategy. The HRBP will additionally support the flawless execution of HR management processes and tools.
The HRBP will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, people managers, and employees within the region, as well as a role model within the HR team, helping to elevate the capability across the function as well as using their experience to ensure the best in class delivery of a range of HR programs, employee relation challenges and optimizing the employee experience.
What it takes:
Actively partners with leaders and managers in their geography, demonstrating clear business acumen and an ability to drive for results and get things done. Prioritizes key business needs and drives HR initiatives delivering clear value add.- Applies a balanced focus on issues such as talent planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational design efforts. Partners with local business leaders through the delivery of key programs in support of strategic goals.
- Supports the business on employee relations matters with the confident application of ER principles; understanding of current, local legislation; ability to evaluate and manage risk; able to proactively coach managers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Executes key HR Programs and initiatives in their geography in alignment with global and regional HR and business requirements.
- Supports M&A and integration activity as appropriate.

You are great at:
Applying extensive Human Resource experience in a generalist capacity, working within a complex matrix organisation, with an ability to influence and collaborate across functions and borders.- Demonstrating clear business and commercial acumen, evidencing the use of insights in the business environment to improve talent and business outcomes. Capable of building a robust HR business case using organisation and financial data and substantiating investment vs risk.
- Prioritizing and organising able to manage your own time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Taking a pragmatic approach, balancing business imperatives with the needs of the individual. Problem-solving and curiosity to tackle challenges come naturally.
- Quickly building credibility and strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Influencing stakeholders, collaborating, driving stakeholders to action, and be thoughtful in overcoming objections. Gaining buy-in to HR recommendations.
- Coaching local leaders and global functional teams on business restructuring and organisation design within the context of the regional landscape.
