We have a fantastic opportunity for a current HR Professional to transition some new business in to DHL, then to partner the site moving forward.
Initially the role will focus on the transition programme which will involve supporting the HR Project Lead in delivering the HR workstream in an effective and timely manner to the customer. The role will involve change management, communication & engagement, stakeholder management, Trade Union relations, project management and working closely with the wider project team, and customer, to deliver a successful transition.
After the initial start-up has been delivered the role will be a generalist HRBP role partnering with an individual site to support and deliver the HR agenda. Acting as a trusted advisor to the business and partner with members of the business management team to align HR activities to the business strategy. Driving consistency and continuous improvement to deliver the HR Strategy, support business goals and influence the strategic direction of the business balanced with the employee perspective. Drive transformation and change of HR to maximize the capability of our people at all levels of the organization and to ensure HR services are delivered to drive business performance.
The key responsibilities in this role include;
Transition responsibilities:
- Execute and support all aspects of the change management required i.e. TUPE processes, consultations, supporting negotiations, delivering project plans, supporting resourcing plans and comms & engagement plans, stakeholder management
- Collaborating with the wider project workstreams to successfully deliver the project agenda
- When necessary working closely with the customer to support their strategic goals
- Appropriately managing stakeholders throughout the process and escalating any issues in a timely manner for resolution
- Working closely with the Trade Union representatives to effectively embed the change
- Excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth transition
BAU HRBP responsibilities:
- Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes with unions at sites.
- Deploy the Businesses' HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
- Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
- Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organization design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
- Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.
- Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.

- An understanding of the Supply Chain business and knowledge of operations (desirable)
- A strong background within internal relations with Trade Unions, preferably within a supply chain or logistics environment
- Working in a matrix organisation ensuring relevant engagement at all levels (essential)
- Stakeholder management and communication and engagement skills (essential)
- A HR background within a 3PL business (desirable)
- A CIPD Qualification or equivalent (desirable)
- Previous experience with change management (desirable)
- Regular presence on site (at least 3+ days per week/as needed by the operation), ability to commit to ad-hoc travel and overnight stays as necessary
