Concord USA is seeking a People Operations Business Partner to support its three offices across the US and many remote employees across the Globe.
This position will work remotely or hybrid based out of Minneapolis, Kansas City, or Richmond, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries from managers and employees regarding policies, procedures and programs, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries to ensure core people operations functions and needs are met.
- Supports employee engagement, DEI and recognition initiatives.
- Partner with key business and People department partners to ensure that critical capabilities and gaps are identified and addressed and that solutions are grounded and integrated into overall business strategy and talent strategy, drive culture, and are agile, practical, impactful, and measurable.
- Provides advice and guidance to managers on performance issues (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) and, where appropriate, attends performance meetings.
- Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with managers to understand and develop appropriate and effective HR strategies.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
- Drafts necessary documents and forms to support policies and procedures.
- Provides Employee Handbook policy guidance and interpretation.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Creates and facilitates relevant training programs, including evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Oversee, develop, recommend, and lead key strategic learning initiatives on a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to leadership development, leader orientation and onboarding, and overall learning and development.
- Manage complex global projects within a matrix organization and within cross-generational, multi-cultural, and varied business environments, while successfully building and managing relationships
- Coordinates internal offboarding and conducts exit interviews.
- Conducts workplace investigations and follow-up on employee concerns.
- Works in partnership with all employees to resolve issues and disputes including employee relations cases.
- Ensures confidentiality and relevant data protection requirements are always met.
- Facilitates and conducts key conversations with colleagues in areas such as ADA requests, terminations, performance improvement plans, role changes, etc.
- Recommends and provides expert labor law perspective and partners with various teams to carry out programs that meet the needs of our scaling business.
- Ensures compliance with local regulations by understanding and staying current with applicable regional laws.
- Fosters and maintains a positive and professional working relationship with all customers, including management staff, employees, contractors and clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years’ previous Human Resources experience preferred; 3 years’ Human Resources experience required.
- Excellent at building relationships and collaboration with all levels in the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, tactful manner while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills capable of resolving conflict in a constructive manner.
- Ability to understand management information systems and processes
- Aptitude to coach and mentor managers and colleagues, confront difficult situations, and deliver candor with care.
- Must be flexible and able to deal quickly and appropriately with individual situations as they arise.
- Exemplary organizational and follow-up skills with strong time-management abilities to plan, prioritize and organize workload with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.
- A high level of confidentiality is required; must be discreet and ethical.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and within a team in an open and professional manner.
- Limited travel may be required.
Education:
- B.S./B.A. in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field required.
- Professional certification such as SHRM PHR is desired.
