Job description
The council is on a major multi-year transformation programme which will result in an entirely new operating model, ensuring the organisation is well placed to deliver ambitious outcomes for its residents and stakeholders.
The transformation programme is underpinned by the introduction of organisation wide technology solutions and capitalises on the value of data and insight, to enable us to become a more modern, accessible, accountable council.
The People and culture department at BCP Council is integral to the delivery of the overall business strategy and transformation programme. We are seeking an HR Business Partner to support with the delivery of the transformation programme.
The role would suit experienced strategic HR professionals with a background of working in fast paced organisations going through substantial complex organisational change programmes. The ability to work with little direction is also a key requirement along with experience of building senior level relationships and working very closely with the business. Strong personal resilience and being able to respond positively to change are also important.
We don’t focus simply on what we do at BCP Council – we also care how we do it. Our values and the way we behave are important to us. Please make sure you’ve read about our values and behaviours in the document attached.
Diversity matters at BCP Council. We have a working environment where we value and respect every individual's unique contribution, enabling all of our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential. We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of BCP Council.
The more diverse our workforce, the better able we are to respond to and reflect our communities in all their diversity. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from individuals, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion and/or belief.
This post is funded for a fixed period to March 2024 through our transformation programme. BCP Council supports agile and flexible working and equipment will be provided to enable remote working. The postholder's main office location will be the BCP Council Civic Centre in Bournemouth, but they may be required to attend other locations within the area as required.
