HR Business Partner
Title: HR Business Partner - 3 days per week
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum (Salary will be Pro Rota according to working days/ hours)
Duration: 6 months

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Business Partner at our Tilmanstone site, based near Dover in Kent. With around 850 employees, we produce millions of bags of leafy salads and prepared vegetables for a dedicated customer and is one of eight factories that are part of the Bakkavor Salads sector in the UK.
Job Responsibilities and Duties;
- Coach and support line managers on absence, disciplinary and grievance issues and ensure managers have the appropriate skills to manage these people processes
- Conduct labour planning meetings with operational managers to ensure that manning levels for permanent and temporary labour are always at the optimum level
- Report on KPIs for area of responsibility and agree actions to drive improvements with line managers and the SHRBP.
- Provide insight to the SHRBP and Line Managers on root causes of BU people issues and make recommendations to improve
- Work with line managers to deliver the business engagement plan and specific engagement initiatives including the employee engagement survey
- Ensure the SEF (Site Employee Forum) agenda is achieved within the area of responsibility and that the employee voice is represented.
- Supports the SHRBP in managing the Union relationship and ensuring a positive Industrial Relations climate
- Supports organisational design projects and programmes and facilitating cultural change
- Coach line managers on the people performance cycle, ensuring all reviews are completed and action plans are in place where improvement is required or talent needs to be developed. Develop line managers through coaching to ensure quality conversations take place.
- Ensure area of responsibility is always audit ready from a people and ethical perspective. In addition support SHRBP with the business ethical agenda
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and processes for area of responsibility
- Deliver local OD initiatives ensuring outcomes meet needs of the business and employment legislation
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Be CIPD qualified.
- Have experience in disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management and ER case management.
- Have a strong Industrial Relations background and experience working with Trade Unions
- Have a track record of effectively supporting cultural change.
- Have strong HR Systems knowledge
- Have experience working within a fast-paced operational environment
