Job description
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
This is a temporary role and will run from September until the end of the year with the potential to be extended dependant on business needs.
2 days in the office and some remote working - some travel to different sites in the UK required (expenses paid)
Duties include:
- Deliver a comprehensive and professional HR Business Partner service by implantation and application of HR practice and procedures and employment legislation
- Provide guidance and support with all people related issues including:
- Recruitment
- Selection
- Disciplinary
- Grievances
- Absence
- Restructuring
- Work with line manager and support the HR manager in the implementation and continued fair and consistent use of the business's practices
- Responsible for ensuring policies and processes are up to date, fit for purpose and in line with legislation
- Deliver internal training and development sessions for manager and employees
- Compile, analyse and interpret information and statistical breakdowns to help in decision making processes
- Support site managers to manage union and employee relationships
- Be on site for meetings with employees where needed
- All other duties as required
- Proven experience of working in a similar position
- Experience working with unions in previous roles is desired
- Good time management
- A proactive approach to finding solutions for the business
- Experience working within a large organisation is desirable
- Driving license and happy to travel when needed
