HR Associate
Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,000.00 per annum
IB Global Centre, Cardiff
Hybrid working
Job Purpose
This role provides support to the HR team, while also having complete responsibility for its own tasks. Overall, it ensures that HR practices are delivered correctly for the region, has oversight of HR systems, is accountable for up to date HR data and supports of data privacy, awareness of analytics/dashboards.
Job Duties
- Conduct induction and onboarding activities in coordination with regional HR colleague(s)
- Report on recruiting metrics and KPIs
- Supports HR Head and HR Business Partners on all general HR processes as required (joiners/leavers, recruitment, reporting, data maintenance etc.)
- Carries out the onboarding process for new joiners. Liaises with managers on induction plans, carries out HR induction, arranges IT induction and access to the office etc.
- First point of contact for all HR queries through the HR inbox. Either respond and advise appropriately or escalate relevantly
- Respond to all absence emails/calls in appropriate manner, offering support and guidance. Keep track and monitor sickness absence and return to works through HRIS as well as reporting to payroll on sick pay
- Has oversight of benefits provided locally, and ensures they are followed correctly
- Answers all basic benefit-related queries and questions, and ensures local procedures (enrolment, changes, leavers etc.) are followed correctly
- Liaises closely with IT on systems issues and queries, working with them to resolve problems and improve processes
- Ownership and accountability for live, up-to-date and accurate information on all staff in the location
- Maintains HR data privacy
- Provides reporting as required
- Delivers HR practices and processes correctly for the region
- Shares process improvement ideas and best practice with global HR colleagues
Job Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in a related field to HR Management required and/or a combination of experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position
- Experience in an HR role at a similar level, held for a significant period of time which has given sufficient experience of:
- HR data quality provision and data privacy maintenance
- Analytics and reporting
- Knowledge of local legislation
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and manage a wide scope of projects
- MS Office, Excel and Internet skills
Desirable Attributes
- Preferable experience with Oracle Cloud (HCM)
