Rate of Pay: Starting at $15.80/hour
Hours: 24-28 hours/week

Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Human Resources Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our organization's human resources functions. You will collaborate with our HR team to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of our HR processes and contribute to the well-being of our employees. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR while working with a dedicated team that shares your passion for making a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, paperwork, and training coordination.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and addressing employee inquiries.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing team-building activities and recognition programs.
- Provide general administrative support the HR team, including filing, data entry, and scheduling meetings.
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about creating positive change and possess the following qualifications:
- One year previous administrative or HR experience. We are willing to train the right candidate who is passionate about HR and our mission.
- High school diploma or its equivalent. Education in human resources or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS software is a plus.

The Quincy Area Command serves Adams, Pike and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri. Our services include emergency housing, case management, food assistance through our fully stocked food pantry and daily breadline, emergency disaster services and weekly church ministries. These services are supported through generous donations and revenue from the Hannibal and Quincy Family Stores.
