HR ASSISTANT

12 Month contract

SALARY: £23,500.00

LOCATION: BIRMINGHAM

Largely remote with occasional visits on site.

I’m working in partnership with an organisation which is a market leader in its field and is hugely values driven. The business has been going through lots of change and they’re now looking for a HR Assistant to come on board and provide a strong pair of hands to help through an exceptionally busy period.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the HR Team and provide support to HR Advisors. The successful candidate must have previous HR experience in a fast paced environment combined with excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. The ability to work to tight deadlines is also essential, together with a highly organised ‘can-do’ approach.

HR Assistant - Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide an efficient and responsive 1st line HR Advice on policies, processes and procedures relating to HR, ER and Learning and Development.
  • Provide very basic advice on disciplinaries, grievances, absence, holidays etc.
  • Produce letters relating to disciplinaries, grievances, absence for managers as requested.
  • Coordinate the probationary period process ensuring reviews conducted by managers
  • Providing advice, direction and guidance on the Self Service System
  • Ensuring administrative processes are consistent, timely and compliant with legal and organisational requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of attendance records, database and spreadsheets, ensuring in line with firm and departmental requirements and systems
  • Provide reporting information for managers.

HR Assistant - Skills / Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 years HR experience as a HR Assistant or HR Administrator
  • Experience of HR Administration and HR database and basic level ER Issues
  • You need to be a good team player, who is capable of working on their own initiative and have a high level of tenacity and drive
  • You will already have worked in a very busy environment
  • Your communication skills will be second to none
