Job Title: HR Assistant
Accountable to: Head of People and Culture
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week to include bank holidays and weekends as necessary
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum
Location: Taunton

Are you a CIPD level 3 qualified or working towards (or equivalent) HR generalist with a passion for providing an excellent people service? Do you want an exciting challenge within a small yet ambitious team?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Assistant to join our team at Somerset County Cricket Club. Every day is different at Somerset. In this role you'll be contributing to our People Strategy and supporting the Head of People and Culture and managers in all HR generalist tasks and administration. Plus, you'll have a positive impact on our culture and working environment!
Your day to day duties will include supporting recruitment procedures (including responding to applicants, supporting in interviews, onboarding new colleagues), updating our HR systems, administrative tasks such as issuing contracts, drafting letters etc., supporting in training events, wellbeing initiatives and policy reviews and much more!
You'll need to be CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified or close to completing, have experience of working within an HR generalist role, be conscientious and committed to providing a positive, effective and ethical people service to improve the experience people have at work, be highly organised and an excellent communicator who values building strong working relationships.

Selected candidates will be invited to a first stage interview via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 18 October 2023.
Further shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second stage interview to be held face to face at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Tuesday 24 October, 2023.
