Job description
Are you passionate about a career in HR? Do you want to work as part of a team who puts the people at the heart of all that they do? Then this could be the role for you.
Job Title: HR Assistant
Salary: £20,050 - £20,235
Base: King’s Lynn (with some travel to other sites on an ad hoc basis)
Hours: 37 per week
The HR team at the College of West Anglia has an exciting opportunity for a new member of the team supporting the operations aspect of their work. You will work to support specific areas of the college in conjunction with your HR Officer. We are currently working with the wider college to build on and maintain a positive culture shift – working more collaboratively than ever before with both internal and external partners.
This is a varied and challenging role involving all aspects of HR to include supporting recruitment, induction, changes to contract and project support. The successful candidate must be a strong administrator, organised and able to change priorities quickly in line with business demands.
Previous experience of an administrative role is essential, and exposure to HR tasks would be a distinct advantage, although not essential. We will provide you with the training and resources to ensure that you are successful in your career with us here at the college, through the apprenticeship levy to support you to gain a level 3 qualification along with great HR experience.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving student services team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year for support staff, plus five College closure days (pro-rata for part-time), plus Bank Holidays (paid instead of bookable leave for part-year staff), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with the Local Government Pension Scheme, discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle to work scheme. CWA focusses on staff well-being and utilises both internal and external resources, such as a well-being committee and access to a free and confidential counselling helpline as well as comprehensive training and development.
