St Piers School and College are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team supporting with projects and case management.
Working alongside the People Partners, you will provide hands-on support and advice to managers on all aspects of people management. You will also play a key part in delivering HR projects, so this role will suit someone with a generalist HR background who is adaptable and enjoys variety.
About The Job
As an HR Advisor for St. Piers, you will provide solutions focused advice to managers and employees across the education directorate. You will also support the Head of HR with projects relating to the HR strategy and workforce planning.

- Provide HR advice and support across the education directorate, in relation to employee relations and other casework e.g., investigations, disciplinary, grievances, absence management.
- Support the People Partners with all aspects of people management, including employee relations casework. Providing managers with advice and support from early investigation stage through to formal meetings.
- Work collaboratively with other HR colleagues to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Provide coaching and guidance managers in the application of HR practice, policies, and procedures.
- Support the HR team with ongoing projects.
- Build professional relationships with key stakeholders

- Possess experience of a similar role or equivalent level and ability to hit the ground running.
- Practical experience of providing advice, guidance and coaching to managers in a range of HR matters including investigations, performance management and absence management.
- Ideally possess a CIPD Level 3 or 5.
- Have working knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload with flexibility
- Willingness to attend meetings outside of office hours to accommodate staff shift patterns
- Ability to appropriately challenge, influence and negotiate in a professional manner.

St Piers sits in the Education Directorate of Young Epilepsy, the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with neurological conditions such as Epilepsy, Autism, and associated conditions.
We are a non-maintained residential special school (5-19yo) & college (19-25yo), and we are an innovative and creative facility for students with SEND, and a large percentage of our cohort have Epilepsy, Autism, and severe learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
