They are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable HR Advisor with expertise in employment law to join the People team. As an HR Advisor, you will be crucial in supporting the business by providing accurate advice and guidance on all aspects of employment law and HR policies and procedures. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to impact the organisation’s people-related matters significantly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, keeping them up to date with changes in employment legislation.
- Support managers in employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, investigations, and performance management.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with employment law developments, providing recommendations to the Head of People and senior management.
- Manage and oversee the administration of HR processes, including contracts, employee records, and HR systems.
- Support recruitment and selection activities, including job descriptions, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the Head of People to implement and drive HR initiatives that align with the company's overall strategic goals.
Requirements:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent in HR or Employment Law
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, with a focus on employment law
- Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and its practical application in a business environment
- Excellent knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex HR issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
