HR Advisor Sittingbourne £30k - £35k Are you a HR professional who is looking to move into an interesting and busy role? If so we want to hear from you. Working within a busy team, the HR Advisor plays an integral part in ensuring that delivery of the HR strategy provides a proactive service to Employees and Managers in line with legal requirements and Company policy and procedures. Main Responsibilities: Lead the HR function on site – with particular effort towards improving its culture. Implement and engage teams with new HR policies, processes and procedures. Assist with management/maintenance of all HR related systems. Support managers with ER casework Support recruitment activity within the business Be an integral part of rolling out a performance management system and support managers to follow the Company processes in a timely manner. Engage in HR projects to support the objectives of the department and wider business. Assist with annual policy reviews and identifying the need for new policies. Assist with creation of employee handbook and its on-going maintenance. Support internal comms activities and provide guidance where required to managers to support them with appropriate communication/tone of voice. Write and deliver line manager training modules Proactively contribute to reviewing people related processes and make recommendations for improvements. Monitor procedural compliance with HR policies, procedures and legislation. Assist with monthly and ad-hoc drug and alcohol testing as per company policy. Update and maintain weekly and monthly HR KPIs Support the payroll function when the Payroll Administrator is on annual leave. Qualifications and Skills: Excellent communication skills – written and verbal Effective organisational skills Experience of coaching managers Pragmatic and problem-solving attitude Team player Attention to detail Up to date knowledge of Employment Law CIPD qualification ideally at Level 5 or equivalent Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
