Reporting to the HR Manager, The HR Advisor will provide comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice, coaching and support to managers and employees in line with organisational policies, processes and legal requirements.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide an HR advisory service in relation to organisational change and a range of employment and employee relations matters
- Lead on the management of complex case work, including coaching managers to support them to manage formal processes.
- Liaising with our Occupational Health service to obtain and advice of the impact of medical advice when required to assist managers in supporting staff.
- Ensuring legislation, policy and best practice are followed adopting a pro-active approach at all times.
- Day to day management of staff within the HR team, including support, supervision, appraisals and supporting development.
- Supporting the wider HR team to ensure joined up, efficient delivery of the HR function.
- Work with the wider People Team to identify practical support and actions when required.
- Support the HR Manager in the provision of a day-to-day HR service to managers and staff
Salary: SCP 29-32 (£30,386 - £33,285 per annum)

What we expect from you
We need you to be CIPD qualified, ideally level 7 or above and we're also looking for someone that has strong, relevant experience of providing HR Advice as well as coaching and supporting managers and staff

What you can expect from us
We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:
- The post holder will report to the HR Manager and through them to the Head of People.
- Your normal working hours are 35 per week worked Monday to Friday.
- Your usual place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, G51 2JA. Alternatively, you may also choose to work remotely from your home address where appropriate.
- Working arrangements must be agreed with your line manager, based on the needs of the service.
- Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays
- You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension in the month that you will complete 3-months of employment, provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria
