HR Advisor / HR Business Partner
Northampton – Hybrid
£300 per day
The successful candidate will have previous experience within Human Resources and ideally have worked within the public sector. Within the role you will work within the Organisational Design, Development and Change, but will be working closely with the Transformation and Programme Leads. You will be leading the discovery, design and delivery of a corporate roadmap for restructuring.
Key duties include –
- To work with the Head of ODDC to design a corporate roadmap for service restructuring, working in partnership with programme/project managers to identify the baseline, identifying tangible business outcomes and measurable benefits realisation and reviewing structures against our new target operating model principles.
- To identify, escalate and propose alternative strategies to influence service design business cases, using data to encourage and influence evidence-based decision making by managers when redesigning services.
- Work with key stakeholders to agree and design communication strategies to inform and engage the workforce, providing narratives relating to change activity to implement and embed change.
- Interpret and advise on the organisation’s employment policies, terms and conditions, and on employment law (particularly in relation to collective consultation, redundancy and TUPE), to ensure that the decisions taken achieve are carried out in a cost effective and a policy/ legally compliant way, taking a managed approach to risk.
- Establish and maintain appropriate and clear change plans, managing the input into those plans and ensuring risks are being appropriately reported and escalated.
- Support the delivery of a variety of projects and activities linked to the delivery of our people strategy. Our priorities include: cultural change, organisational design, the employee journey (recruitment, induction, engagement and exit experience), wellbeing, performance & talent development, recognition & reward and diversity and inclusion.
- Contribute to the achievement of good employee relations by supporting the delivery of our trade union recognition agreement, specifically attending and advising managers at the formal Directorate Consultative Forums.
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs and ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons.
