Contract Terms : Maternity Cover, 40 hours per week
THE TEAM
We have an exciting opportunity for a pragmatic and commercially focused HR Advisor to join the Ticketmaster HR team, reporting into the HR Manager, Ticketmaster UK.
The HR team is responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service (throughout the entire employee lifecycle) to the business, ensuring that managers and employees are equipped with the best tools to foster a highly empowered, people first, innovative culture.
THE JOB
As an HR Advisor, you will provide key business partnership to our middle management teams and a comprehensive advisory service to employees and managers across Ticketmaster. You will be a strong communicator, solution focused and able to effectively partner with the business to provide guidance, direction and support on all HR issues in line with business strategy to your dedicated client groups. You will have a focus on people, policies and procedures, an in-depth knowledge of UK employment law and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Provide strong commercial human resource support; including regular review of current practice, HR procedure and policy, making recommendations and implementing human resource strategy to effectively meet the business needs.
- Advise on employment law and best practice, to include establishing, overseeing and communicating to employees any new Human Resource policies and procedures, including legislative updates
- Manage the risk of, and advise consistently on all employee relations matters, including restructures, performance concerns, maternity / paternity, absence issues, TUPE, consultations, investigations, grievance and disciplinary hearings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with line managers within the business to swiftly grasp key business and management issues
- Support with project work in line with HR strategy and Ticketmaster’s values to ensure
Ticketmaster becomes an employer of choice. - Partner with the HR specialist functions to provide HR focus on recruitment, engagement, compensation, HRIS, benefit and L&D needs.
- Continually carry out job analysis and review of job levels throughout the business to support in organisational design and recruitment efforts.
- Pro-actively undertake research making appropriate recommendations that support the dedicated client group business strategy & HR agenda.
- Provide advice on and ensure compliance with all legal work checks and management of all work visas to ensure the Company meets the necessary legal requirements.
- Ensure all contracts and amendments to terms and conditions are complete, accurate, returned in a timely manner and signed in line with the Statement of Authority
- Ensure all employee files are up to date and accessible for the whole HR team
- Manage and report on all long term sickness cases
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by Management.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Proven experience as a HR generalist at advisor level.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and in-house HRIS systems).
- In depth knowledge of current UK employment law.
- Previous experience with HR systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated self-starter, who takes ownership and works independently.
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms.
