Job Title: HR Administrator – Part-time

Salary: 21k-26k full-time equivalent, dependent on experience (This will be pro rata’d for part time hours).
Location: Hybrid – Hounslow (with a requirement to work from the office 2 days per week)
Contract type: Permanent / Part-time 28 hours per week – flexible days and times available.
The Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our HR Business Support Team based in Hounslow. The main purpose of the role will be to liaise with schools and Academies to provide administrative support as required.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for all HRP administration ensuring all correspondence/instructions are responded to in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare contracts of employment and variation letters including pay changes, maternity, and contract extensions/variations
- Prepare adverts for publishing on jobs boards
- To process new starters, leavers and variations and absences on our HR and payroll system (Itrent).
- Maintaining the group email box, allocating tasks, and responding to emails and queries communicated through the portal on a daily basis, responding in a timely and professional manner.
- To be the first point of contact for all queries raised by clients responding in a timely manner and in line with our clients SLA’s
- Check establishment reports to ensure accurate data is maintained and liaise with Schools/Academies to ensure this is kept up to date
- To maintain accurate employee records using our online filing system
- To work with colleagues in a professional manner to meet company standards, achieve quality levels and comply with KPI/SLA targets and deadlines and comply with GDPR regulations
- Providing cover for the generic team inbox and responding to emails as required
- Assist with other duties as required, commensurate with responsibility and grade within the wider HR Business Support team
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- A minimum of one years’ HR experience, preferably within a School/Academy setting, but not essential
- Demonstrable HR administrative experience, working in a fast paced, high volume shared service environment
- Educated to GCSE level or above with English and Maths, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Apply meticulous attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work consistently and accurately under pressure
- Approachable, professional manner with clear communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to deal with a range of enquires by phone, letter and email
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Actively make suggestions to improve and streamline processes
- Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to service delivery
- Knowledge of Local Government and Teachers Conditions of service is desirable
- Ability to work flexibly and independently and manage tasks simultaneously.
- Good IT skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and iTrent HR experience preferable but training can be provided if required.
- Strong attention to detail with experience of maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Effective team player capable of building excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues.
