At CVS we are one of the largest integrated veterinary groups in Europe with a turnover in excess of £500M, more than 8000 employees and 500 veterinary practice sites across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Alongside veterinary practices, we also operate pet crematoria, laboratories, a distribution centre, an online business and buying groups.
We're currently seeking an experienced HR Administrator on a permanent basis with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week. This role is a hybrid opportunity, working 2 days in the office in Diss and 3 days from home.
Key duties include:
- Managing HR inbox
- Dealing with queries via telephone and email
- Sending out references of employment
- Answering basic absence/holidays related queries – escalating more complex issues to Managers and HR Business Partners
- Note-taking in team meetings
- Ensuring resource link is updated with ER activity and relevant documents are uploaded timely
- Supporting leaver process – log leavers on audit, issue and send acknowledgement letter
- Supporting probation process
- Ensuring appropriate security for all HR related information
- Build and maintain good working relationship with payroll colleagues
- Answer queries and assist employees with the employee self-service portal (MiCVS)
Key requirements include:
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels
- Interpersonal skills with experience of interaction with individuals at all levels
- Ability to organise and manage time effectively, prioritising own workload to meet deadlines
- A professional, confident and pleasant manner with a strong work ethic
- Conscientious with an ability to be flexible and multi-task
- Great customer service delivery at all levels
- Must be competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
