Woolston Lodge Surgery are part of the Woolston & Chartwell Partnership providing healthcare services to our 21,500 patient population. We are looking for an HR professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is eager to learn, work with others, and help us grow.
ROLE PURPOSE
The HR Administrator will work closely alongside the management team and Finance Officer in providing administrative support to daily HR processes spanning the full employee lifecycle.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process
- Coordinate the new starter process, including arranging and delivering induction activities for all new starters
- Run DBS, right to work compliance checks
- Monitor absence administration, ensuring all return to works are carried out and absence cases are escalated
- Process and action any monthly payroll changes, including leavers, changes in salary, changes in hours
- Monitor e-learning/mandatory training, sending out reminders to team members
- Coordinate the appraisal process for all employees
- Managing the HR email inbox, responding to queries and/or escalating as necessary.
- Undertaking project work as necessary and in conjunction with the HR Advisor.
- Maintain accurate records of all employee data
- Maintain professional development, keeping updated with employment law
Who we're looking for
- Experience of working within a busy HR role
- Minimum of a level 3 Foundation CIPD qualification would be beneficial
- IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc)
- Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Understanding of employment laws and disciplinary / grievance procedures
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Team player with a flexible approach to work
- High personal standards and quality of work output
- Resilient and meticulous
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
Liaising with the Finance team and monthly reconciliation of the payroll accounts
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: £12.00 per hour
