Whytmatter are proud to be recruiting an HR admin for a food Manufacturing Client based in Craigavon. The Food Manufacture is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products, supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer and Waitrose across the UK.
The HR Administrator’s role will report to the HR Manager and be a part of a wider established HR team. The HR Administrator will be responsible for organising, coordinating and undertaking all day-to-day operations of the Office to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Assisting the HR team with administrative duties and ensuring compliance with HR-owned processes.

Tasks
- Maintaining the HR systems and databases, ensuring compliance with GDPR and providing accurate reporting.
- Creating and maintaining employee files and leaver data, ensuring they are stored in line with Avondale’s retention policy.
- Issuing approved contracts of employment with accompanying starter packs, training links and tracking receipts.
- Accurately updating HR systems for standard employee life cycle administration, and meeting all payroll deadlines.
- Preparing weekly/monthly payroll data to be submitted by the required deadline.
- Ensuring all incoming calls are managed in line with quality standards and organisational policies.
- Resolving Tier 1 HR/Colleague requests at the first point of contact through the case management system Remedy.
- Escalating Tier 2 queries, complaints or system-related issues in a timely manner to the wider HR team.
- Compiling standard reports such as Contract End Dates, Probation, Annual Leave, Headcount, KPI data and maintaining Organisational Charts and generating other reports from various HR Systems when required.
- Supporting colleagues with relevant access to self-service systems and troubleshooting/navigation as required.
- Maintaining a repository of approved HR/ER/IR letter templates with correct branding and version control.
- Publishing policies and training across the Business.
- Onboarding and offboarding colleagues from HR Systems and Reward Programmes such as pensions and more.
- Delivering communications on behalf of relevant HR Personnel.
- Providing regular communication and feedback to the HR Manager to enable continuous improvement.
- Ensuring mandatory training records are kept up to date within the allocated filing arrangement.
- Assist with HR disciplinaries, grievance and performance management meetings.
- Supporting other administrative duties and/or project work as required.
What you’ll need
- Worked in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality service and results.
- At least 2 years experience in working with HR-related administration.
- IT literate – proficient in MS Excel and Word, and HR databases.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times, frequently dealing with highly sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- CIPD Level 3 or working towards this.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate and engage with all levels of management.
- Experience working within an HR role ideally in a Food Manufacturing environment and an appreciation of the prevailing legislation and subsequent HR implications for these distinct areas.
- Experience in the use of computerised HRIS (e.g. Softworks)
- Third Level Qualification (University Degree)
