Housing Solutions Officer - (Ref: HSO) - Salary up to range £30,687.80 - £33,939.36 depending on experience Are you interested in working for a highly professional, enthusiastic and ambitious Housing Prevention Team? Broxbourne Council want to hear from you, if ideally you have previous experience working within a Local Authority homelessness setting and have knowledge of the relevant legislation. The role requires interviewing and assessing those who are at a risk of becoming homeless and working with them to identify housing solutions to prevent homelessness. It also involves the general management of own caseloads and the ability to work collaboratively with other partner agencies. The successful candidate should be highly motivated with a genuine interest in helping others, with experience of working in a customer facing role. Excellent verbal communication skills and fluent English are essential as this role requires having sensitive conversations and managing customer expectations effectively. Good written and analytical skills are equally important, therefore a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential. A full driving licence is also required. This role requires a disclosure and barring service check as it involves working with children or vulnerable clients.
