We are a rapidly growing organisation and have an exciting opportunity available now for an experienced Housing Administrator to support our Operational Services.
Key Points:
- Home based
- Full time Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30 (subject to 6-month probationary review)
- Starting salary £23k per annum with salary scale of £23k-£26k
- Holiday entitlement of 25 days plus Bank Holidays and occasional free days
Job Description:
- Providing administrative support to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting with the preparation of template letters, newsletters, spreadsheets, reporting templates and key documents
- Developing and maintaining efficient and accurate filing systems using company document retention system
- Having excellent data management skills with meticulous eye for detail in relation to record keeping, auditing information etc
- Monitoring, maintaining and updating Housing Management system to record, report and monitor property repairs, maintenance and compliance data
- Assisting with reviewing and updating rental accounts and reports
- Assisting with collection and consolidation of weekly occupancy data
- Excellent communication skills across a range of platforms, including e-mail, post, messaging and telephone, processing enquiries and signposting to relevant persons where necessary
- Processing comments, compliments and complaints received in a calm and professional manner, signposting to responsible person(s) for action and following up as necessary.
- Maintaining customer support services and updating the CRM system
- Supporting with Housing Benefit and Universal Benefit claims, including completion of SRS verification forms
- Liaising with Local Authorities regarding Benefit claims and Council Tax enquiries including empty homes discounts, notifications, appeals etc.
- Assisting with operational activities to ensure key compliance and regulatory standards are maintained up to date
- Developing/maintaining internal housing related administrative systems and controls
- Assisting with the development and monitoring of KPI reports
- Confident and able to lead on research activities and delegated project work
- Confident and experienced in using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc. Ability to support colleagues in the use of software an advantage
Essential
- Accomplished administrator with proven experience and an excellent working knowledge of a range of office management systems
- Proficient in the use of IT, particularly Microsoft Office, and key software packages
- Excellent attention to detail with demonstrable organisation skills
- Strong team player with solution focused approach and high levels of initiative
- ‘Customer Service’ oriented with commitment to partnership working at all levels
- Innovative, dynamic, flexible and independently able to carry out duties
- Excellent time-management skills
- Keen to contribute to organisational development and grow the role as necessary

You will need good problem-solving skills and be capable of multi-tasking effectively prioritising urgent activity, as well as progressing any pre-planned work.
Knowledge of data protection and regulatory property compliance standards is preferred.
