Where you’ll work

In our Forest suite, for our residents living with dementia, we are very lucky to have had well known Derby artist Tom Fulep. Tom, who has created bespoke murals in other residential and nursing homes, has produced an old fashioned street scene at Sherwood Forest. Capturing everything from the cobbled streets, taking you on a journey through the park to the river, the mural has so many captivating features that take our residents back in time. A diverse variety of faiths and cultures are celebrated in both the residential and nursing suites of our home, where we are one big family. Firm favourites that fill the home with festivities every year include Diwali, Eid, Easter and Chinese New Year. We also have a multi-faith chaplain who regularly visits the home, as well as churches of various denominations in Normanton and the wider city of Derby.
