We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant. Cleeve Court is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Bath, Somerset which is registered to provide care and support for residents needing residential and dementia care. It is easily via Public Transport from Bath City Centre.
This is a permanent role of 16 hours per week and operates on set fixed four weekly rolling rota.
The postholder will:
Assist other colleagues in promoting and maintaining a supportive living environment to meet the needs of vulnerable older adults including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
Carry out domestic tasks which maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the care home, considering the wishes of services users.
This will include:
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Making beds
- Operating cleaning equipment, e.g., vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners
- Undertake a laundry service for residents and a general laundry service for the care home, which will include sorting and washing laundry, ironing, operating laundry equipment, e.g., washers and dryers, irons
- Cleaning soft furnishings within the home
- Undertake general dining-room/servery tasks, e.g., laying/waiting to clear tables/simple preparation of food and washing up as required
- Keep up-to-date written records.
As part of a team, you will help to develop appropriate and professional relationships with residents, visitors, and carers, which value them as individuals, including establishing and maintaining effective communication.
