The Riverside Rooms is a unique venue next to the River Trent in Newark , we have 4 ensuite serviced letting rooms and are looking for a part time housekeeper. Our ideal candidate will have the highest standards and an eye for detail . What will I be doing? As a Housekeeper at The Riverside Rooms, you are responsible for cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms and all public areas to a high standard, communicating with other staff/owners, working effectively. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas. Ensure thorough reporting of any maintenance issues and missing items in guest rooms. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any concerns. Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy. Management of laundry. Occasionally be on call when owners are away to answer any calls from guests and to deal with any issues that may arise. Perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time. Assist the owners wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships. Ensuring the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment What are we looking for? To successfully fill this role as Housekeeper at The Riverside Rooms, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Good communication skills. A neat and tidy appearance. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations. Ability to work on your own. Although previous housekeeping experience would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Guests check out at 10am and in at 3pm so the working day is between these times . What's in it for me? We offer a 2 weekly rota based on our bookings and offers a weekend off every they week. Anticipated hours are around 6-10 per week but you must be able to cover the other person's holiday and sickness if required (within reason ! ) Bookings may come in late so you must be able to accommodate this if it is your rostered day. Wage £16 per hour 28 days holiday (pro rota ) Nest pension scheme
