To assist with the safe and timely transfer of patients between wards and the Acute Kidney Unit.
To transfer dialysis equipment as required.
To assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and
infection control practices in the clinical area as appropriate. Spot cleaning to ensure spillages are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. To ensure general and specialist equipment e.g. dialysis machines, infusion
pumps, and patient shared equipment are cleaned as
per the cleaning policy.
To ensure that the ward is safe and tidy at all times, there must be a
high standard of cleanliness maintained e.g. remove clutter, keep area
tidy.
To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of equipment storerooms.
To identify any problems with cleanliness and liaise with the shift leader
and Domestic Supervisor/Team Leader as appropriate.

We are a busy acute dialysis unit providing care for inpatients from across the site who require both urgent and planned dialysis treatment.
As a dialysis porter you will be an integral part of the team. Along with collecting and transferring patients for treatment, you will also help our nursing team to deliver dialysisequipmentto the bedsides for our mostacutelyunwell patients, and collect blood products.
As ahousekeeperyou will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the unit to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, as well as the coordination of stock levels.
You will need excellent interpersonal and customer service skills as well as a commitment to working within a team to develop and improve our services.
