Job description
The Endoscopy Department is a busy unit performing approximately 17000 procedures per year.
The housekeeper is an integral member of the team who will work along side the Management and Nursing team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all Nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in storeroom.
A large portion of the role is the maintaining and ordering of endoscopic equipment ensuring stock is replenished. You will be working with procurement to ensure that all relevant equipment is available for use in the department
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness of all nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store.
- To ensure all equipment and the ward environment is in good working order at all times and report appropriately if not.
- Maintain Health and Safety in the workplace and complete risk assessments and electrical checks as required.
- To order and maintain an appropriate stock supply of consumables to unit via oracle, /telephone/email/hospital supply chain
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
