Job description
The housekeeper effectively and thoroughly maintains the standards of cleanliness of all areas of the facility. Depending on time of the shift, the focus on specific areas of cleanliness may change, so autonomy and the ability to adjust to demands of the shift is imperative. The housekeeper may be the initial contact for customer complaints or questions, so it is important to always have a friendly and helpful demeanor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain facilities map in cleaner’s room
· Keep track of inventory for housekeeping supplies
· Ensure chemical safety labels are in place
· Auditing rooms for cleanliness/housekeeping standards
· Provide training to new housekeeping employees
· Provide excellent standards in the execution of housekeeping to the areas that are assigned by the Lead Clerk.
· Written documentation of any damages or hazards that could result in injury to customers.
· Written documentation of any damages to the overall facility that warrants attention of the maintenance department. Follow proper protocol of supervisors or managers.
· Maintain a professional attitude with all customers and fellow employees.
· Monitor any infractions of company policy regarding poor behavior by customers and the subsequent notification to the proper supervisor or manager.
· Adhere to all company standards and policies.
· Understand the policies of their employer with respect to work shifts, client possessions, and privacy
· Perform housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the windows, scouring bathrooms, changing sheets and towels, managing laundry, and keeping the place neat and tidy
· Clean, disinfect, and store all cleaning equipment at the end of their shift
· Fulfill all cleaning requirements of the employer
· Promptly respond to client needs
· Inform the homeowner or employer if any accidents or problems occur while performing cleaning servicesesponsibilities:
