Job description

We are looking for a cleaner to work part time at our offices in Bootle.

The role is for 12 hours per week. The working days and hours are flexible and can be negotiated by the successful candidate.

We are an office of approximately 20 staff.

  • Cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, toilet cleaning etc)
  • Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Periodically carry out heavy cleaning tasks
  • To complete tasks following agreed safe working methods.
  • To ensure all work is completed on time and to acceptable standards.
  • To work under minimal supervision as tasks may usually require lone working.
  • To ensure Expect’s policies and procedures are followed at all times with specific regard to Health and Safety practices.
  • To carry out tasks with due regard for applicable risk assessments.
  • To ensure potential hazards are identified and brought to the attention of the Maintenance Officer.
  • To maintain a safe working environment at all times by ensuring that potential hazards are identified, risk assessed and monitored incorporating all safe systems of work practices and documents. Working in strict accordance with all statutory legislation including but not exhaustive of Health & Safety Executive, Care Quality Commission and Environmental Protection Agency.
  • To ensure cleaning equipment is not left lying around and work areas are kept free from clutter and are cleaned at the end of each work day.
