Job Title: Housekeeper
Part time hours: Monday-Sunday 4pm – 8pm
Full time hours: Monday-Friday 7am -3pm or 2pm – 10pm or 10pm – 6am
Payrate: £10.37 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

About the Trust

This is a temporary role at Horton General Hospital
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with agreed procedures which aim to reduce the risk of infections.
- To be responsible for providing a patient beverage service throughout the day and to assist nursing staff with patient meal services at lunch and supper as necessary.
- Abide by the strict ‘National Colour Coding System’ for cleaning within a healthcare environment.
- To ensure the rest rooms and kitchens are kept clean and tidy and have adequate stocks of provisions, crockery, cutlery. Reporting shortfalls to the relevant departments.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- leaning experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of COSHH (desirable)
- Both written and verbal communication skills
- Can demonstrate positive approach to customer care
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
