Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing a team. This position will have great potential for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and manage housekeeping contractors and potential future cleaning employees.
- Manage cleaning, greeting, and repair and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked, tracked, and available for guest use.
- Conduct regular inspections of rental properties to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Respond to guest complaints and requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities.
- Manage departmental budget.
- Track and manage turnover/consumables supplies ordering and delivery to the property.
- Manage property laundry.
- Review service provider invoices for accuracy using company accounting procedures.
- Have a high understanding and be fully capable of using technology due to all management software systems being cloud based.
- Provide direct cleaning of properties.
- Turnover checks on properties to ensure guest ready and quality control.
- Provide direct guest greeting services.
- Help find solutions to reduce costs for services.
- Manage Maintenance and Repair schedules.
- Purchasing property supplies.
- Communicate with the Homeowner Relationship Managers on issues that need to be managed or addressed by property owners.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
- Work with hard deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years professional resort or vacation rental cleaning experience, housekeeping management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a reliable car.
- This is a work from home and in the field position and must have a reliable computer, provide their own cell phone.
Salary Expectations:
Salary expectations are based on level experience. A benefit package is included after a successful candidate has passed the 6 month probation period.
