Housekeeper – Woolverstone Macmillan Centre.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team working part time as a housekeeper on Woolverstone Macmillan Centre.
You will be required to maintainstock levels in all clinical areas, liaising with procurement staff to rectify any problems or shortfalls. You should possessgood interpersonal skills and demonstrate a caring, compassionate and friendly attitude t deal with with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy and be approachable.
You will be expected to monitor the environment to ensure all areas are clean and tidy; removing clutter, tidy notice boards and participate in ward/unit environmental audits.
You will be responsible for the collection and delivery of equipment and other items from and to other areas of the hospital as required.
Our housekeeping team work 08.30-16.30. The expectation is that hours would be worked over two 7.5 hours days.
- To ensure cleanliness and appropriate storage of specified clinical equipment, when not in patient use.
- To report any failure, repair or maintenance needed to any equipment and to arrange maintenance to be undertaken.
- To restock store cupboard, equipment and full fixtures as required.
- To clean & restock treatment area trolleys on a daily basis, ensuring stock is rotated.
- Stock up medical supplies & stationary. Inform stores coordinator when stocks are low and undertake delegated tasks in relation to stock management.
