Hamstead Park House is a family home situated in West Berkshire at the centre of private estate. It’s currently home to a young couple who are in situ most of the time with guests staying occasionally.
We are looking for a full-time housekeeper to join the team on the estate and live in the housekeepers accommodation which is a two bedroom apartment adjoining the main house.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the housekeeper are to:
- Keep the house clean and tidy; this ranges from day to day tidying to more intensive seasonal cleans
- Performing laundry and ironing and taking care of clothes
- Stocking and maintaining a list of housekeeping supplies
- Taking care of antique furniture; dusting and polishing and where necessary bringing in specialists
- Managing a rota of household servicing including boilers, CCTV and chimneys, pest prevention etc.
The person who would thrive in this role is friendly and reliable, happy working on their own initiative and without supervision. Discretion is asked at all times.
Provided as part of the role is a two bedroom apartment adjoining the main house.
Electricity and broadband are covered as part of this package.
Experience
- Our preference is candidates with 3+ years’ experience doing this role in a similar environment
- No formal qualifications required except a valid full UK driving license
- Cooking or culinary experience is a bonus
