Nursery: Bright Horizons West Hampstead Station Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: £28,101 - £36,650 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location: West Hampstead, London

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our nursery. Our 164-place nursery is proudly Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and set within a Victorian villa, which has been fully refurbished, back to its original glory.

Our nursery features a fantastic outdoor garden, where our children can play sports, ride bikes on a cycling track with traffic lights and enjoy sensory experiences! Our nursery also has a full complement of specialist studios, such as arts and music, art, science and IT!

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar)
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
