Where is the role based?
We offer our services across many locations, the advert title will tell you which area you are applying for. You may be asked to work in another location to best meet the needs of our service users.
Hours?
Individual needs come first, and so we need a lot of flexibility when it comes to your working hours. These will be scheduled on a rota basis with the rest of your team and can include sleep-ins; waking nights; weekends; and Bank Holidays.
What are the general duties of a House Manager?
- To offer a flexible, high quality, person centred service which will enable people to live in the community in accordance with their own life style, and with independence, safety and respect.
- To manage a staff team to deliver a person-centred service for adults and young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities as set out in the White Paper Valuing People now as determined by CQC (Care Quality Commission)
- To complete rotas and plan activities in line with person centred plans and individual service funds that contribute to independence, choice and community access whilst providing new opportunities for service users to experience
- To take particular responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of Personal Assistants Level 1 and Level 2 and Support Officers
- Ensure all staff are up to date with mandatory training requirements and development as identified
Rewards
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The starting salary for a House Manager is £25,595.93 per annum (pro rata for part time). We will pay up to an additional 4% of your salary into a pension plan for you, which will grow every year until you retire.
You will have a chance to progress. We give you training and help you gain appropriate qualifications.
You will be required to provide on call out of hours for the company. You’ll be paid extra for this.
That’s not all. You’ll get twenty two paid holiday plus eight statutory bank holidays.
