The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time following a period of extensive refurbishment to our hotels which are part of the University of Edinburgh Hospitality & Events collection. This post offers a unique opportunity for both personal and professional development, with opportunities to progress, taking on additional responsibilities and a key role to enhance the reputation of our hotels.

Based at our Hotels Reception the receptionist will deliver a wide range of accommodation related services to all customers. This is a front facing role dealing primarily with student queries and commercial guests. Exceeding customer expectations and maintaining standards being the front face of Accommodation, Catering and Events they should present themselves in such a way that reflects the University of Edinburgh standards.

In this role you will:

  • Continuously look to improve our standards and deliver world-class hospitality.
  • Become an integral part of our existing reception team with a desire to succeed in delivering our values.

  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure for a period of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in administration including use of Microsoft packages and relevant computer software

To succeed in this busy role you will need strong multi-tasking skills, a passion for providing high levels of customer service and a real eye for detail. You will have experience in a busy front-facing customer service environment; a hospitality background and experience in dealing with a wide variety of customers. in a professional manner.

Salary: £23,992.00 per year
