Job description

Your role will be:

The main purpose of this job is:

  • To provide excellent guest service
  • To maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety
  • Ensure high standards and efficiency of work
  • To fulfill your duties to the best of your ability

Your Role:

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Inform guests of hotel rates and services
  • Make and confirm reservations for guests
  • Ensure proper room allocation
  • Register and check guests in
  • Confirm relevant guest information
  • Verify guest's payment method
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorisation
  • Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room booking
  • Compute all guest billing, accurately posting charges to guest rooms and house accounts
  • Receive and transmit messages for guests
  • Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone
  • Provide accurate information about local attractions and services
  • Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests
  • Complete and maintain any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management
  • Manage conference room bookings and scheduling
  • Close guest accounts and check guests out
  • Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
  • Process accurate payment of guest accounts
  • Inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
  • Monitor visitors to the hotel
  • Maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area

  • Maintaining a thorough and efficient service
  • Monitoring and maintaining a close relationship with the other departments to ensure customers receive the best possible service

  • Promote good morale in the department by being committed and positive when on shift
  • Be committed to training courses and meetings scheduled for you
  • Be prepared to carry out reasonable duties asked of you by your Senior Manager
  • Give feed back to the Manager regarding any items that you feel can be changed or improved
  • To communicate in a professional and friendly manner with guests and staff alike at all times

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.60 per hour
