Located just off the A30/A38 at Bodmin, we are seeking a friendly, organised hotel receptionist to join our hotel & golf club team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact to welcome guests to our hotel and club, make room, function and catering reservations and attend to guests’ needs or questions. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience an enjoyable stay and portray an excellent image of our hotel that leaves a positive impression.
Main Reception Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet hotel guests; answer any questions or concerns
- Provide a warm welcome and be pro active with the guests experience of the business
- Maintain a tidy front desk
- Operate PMS computer programs, Microsoft programmes and multi-line phone systems
- Maintain excellent computer and book records
- Complete basic cashier and book keeping responsibilities
- Liaise with other departments and staff to ensure the smooth running of the business
Apart from some of the duties listed above, it is important that the successful applicant is prepared at times, to assist other team members in different departments. Rota's are shared Monday to Sunday at selected times between 7AM and 10PM.
Full time appointments will work approximately 36 hours per week, four to five days per week dependent on the season. Part time hours would be seasonally between 16 and 32 hours over a minimum two shifts per week.
Pay would be above minimum wage and dependent on experience.
